Maxime Gauvin is known for his involvement in local economic development initiatives and his love of local culture. He is currently the executive director of Southeastern New Brunswick’s agricultural cooperative, Really Local Harvest.
Maxime is certain that the Congrès mondial is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the successes of the region, and furthermore, for the Acadian, Anglophone and Indigenous communities to acknowledge their common histories.
“I believe that the Congrès mondial is the perfect forum for the different regions involved to showcase their vitality and will allow them to rally around the organization of a common event. This is where we see ideas grow and innovative projects emerge.”
A strong advocate for rurality, Maxime believes that the event will also help emphasize the strengths of our rural communities.
