15aoutNational Acadian Day being the most important date on the Acadian calendar, it must be celebrated in the biggest way possible. On August 15, 2019, the day will begin in Miscouche (Prince Edward Island) with the raising of the ceremonial raising of the Acadian flag and August 15 mass. Afterward, participants are invited to make their way to Dieppe (New Brunswick), where things will get loud with the tintamarre and the National Acadian Day Show. To top it all off, the August 15 celebrations are now FREE!

Free event

The celebration of the National Acadian Day is free ! You will not need a CMA 2019 pin or a ticket to enter. 

 

Site - Place 1604 and MusiquArt Site, Dieppe
  • The starting point of the Grand Tintamarre will be at Place 1604 (243 Gauvin Road, Dieppe) and will end at the MusiquArt site (475 Notre-Dame Street, Dieppe).
  • The CMA 2019 provides areas for people with reduced mobility. At your arrival on site, someone at the information kiosk will be able to guide you.

The Show
  • The shows will only be cancelled in the event of a lightning storm or if participants’ safety is at risk. Please plan accordingly.
  • It is prohibited to bring folding chairs on event sites.
  • ATTENTION: certain objects are prohibited on the site, such as objects that are frequently used to make noise in Tintamarres. Click here to see a complete list of allowed and prohibited items.
